1. I put an audio file on WordPress and everytime it finishes, it automatically begins again. How do I prevent it from continuously replaying?
Pro Account users can set the Repeat and Auto Play settings of the music player templates in the Premium Settings, but Free Account users cannot.
2. How can I prevent background music from playing until the slideshow is clicked on?
You need to uncheck the Autostart option in the settings of your gallery. To do that, follow these steps:
- Login to your Cincopa Account
- Go to My Galleries
- Hover your mouse over the gallery to view the options
- Click Edit
- On the Settings uncheck the Autostart option
- Click Save Settings
3. Can I put different audio files on different pages?
Yes, you can put different audio files on different pages of your site. You can either copy the embed code for your audio asset or create a gallery and copy the gallery embed code.
4. How do I choose a template for the music player?
Cincopa has seven free “Music Player Templates” of various sizes to choose from. Visit Cincopa galleries page to view all available templates.
Customize the size of your music player and playlist window.
Preview your music player in a separate window before deciding on a template.
Add album art, or add your own images.
Offer your music for download, or protect it.
Pro Account users can remove the Cincopa branding from their music players (“Powered by Cincopa”) and choose from several options like autoplay, loop, repeat, and more.
To get started, simply choose your template and proceed to the next step and upload your music files.
5. Are there specific templates that work with the iPhone/iPad. Should CoolIris work on the iPhone/iPad?
As you may know iPhone/iPad doesn’t support Flash. As a result, all Cincopa templates that uses Flash will fall back to JavaScript basic template and will work on the iPhone/iPad. This include videos, photos galleries, slideshows and music.
Cooliris is a Flash component and thus will fall back to a simple slideshow.
6. What methods are available to upload music files?
There are two ways to upload the music files:
• Use the web batch upload page for uploading multiple files in any size.
• Upload files from any URL on the web such as those from YouTube.
7. How do I change the album art of a music or podcast ?
You can use this technique (available only for Pro Account users) :
1. In the template selection page, find a parameter called “Album Cover Art” in the change it to custom.
2. Continue to upload your music files and also upload the cover art image files
3. In the text and reorder page, organize the items in pairs : a. image file, music file, image file, music file etc.
Note that if you want to have the same image for few or all music files then you can upload the image only once and order like this :
a. image file, music file, music file music file etc.
8. Is there a way to get rid of the black border on the sides of the album art?
Currently, there is no way to do this effectively. You can try reducing the width and height of the player.
